OK, some of you aren’t old enough to have lived through the era of sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll. I am, but I was busy studying, so I missed out on all three. Rats! However, there were some exciting things going on. Especially the discovery of some pretty interesting psychotropic drugs — not just because they could take you on trips that allowed you to “taste” color, but because they had enormous healing potential. Dr. Miller’s book explores the tumultuous history of psychedelic drug research and the efforts to restore psychedelic therapies. We will discuss the research done on MDMA, Psilocybin, LSD, and Ayahuasca. And in case you’re wondering, no, we’re not talking about just chewing shrooms man, these are serious medical, double blind, placebo-controlled studies. With the war on opiates right now, I think it would be a grand idea to have some alternate ammunition, don’t you? Join us Tuesday to learn about Psychedelic Medicine.
California has legalized recreational use of marijuana. The law went into effect January 1st, 2018. Meanwhile, Attorney General Jeff Sessions has recently stated that he is rescinding the Cole Memo which had protected states from federal interference regarding cannabis laws.

Dr. Miller expertly helps guide us through the basics of psychedelic therapy, as well as where we currently stand in terms of politics and advocacy.
